出色的香港展覽館
Malko Agencies的展覽館總裁及管理負責人Mr. John Kao指出香港展覽館在第一季紐約世界博覽會國際展覽中表現最為成功，香港展覽館在商業上表現優秀而且廣泛受到歡迎，香港展覽館成功在每平方英尺吸引到最大的關注。
Mr. Kao剛回來逗留一個月，將要回去為在4月22日開幕的第二季展覽做好開幕準備，他指出平均每日有3000人到訪展覽館。
他認為香港展覽館能夠在商業上及取得深入民心的成功原因在於建築設計上的創造力不但保留了香港特色，而且售賣了很多實用商品如平價的衣服及家具。
「我認為香港與臺灣的展覽區最為寫實，而且它們與其他的國際展覽館並不一樣。」
香港展覽館從內到外看有如是真實的香港，那裡有一個拱廊形購物天堂，三個中式餐廳以及東方式的花園與在出口附近的舢板。
「在下一季，我們將要去擴展那個花園及嘗試增加一個公共詢問處。我們雖然一直有提供詢問服務，但都要到辦公室來才能進行詢問。
Mr.Kao「在去年我們曾經請求香港政府放置一個詢問處，但因缺乏人事部門而遭其婉拒。

The Hongkong Pavilion was the most successful of the international exhibits in the first season of the New York World’s Fair, said Mr. John Kao, president of the pavilion and managing director of Malko Agencies. Commercially, it did excellently and in terms of popularity, the Hongkong pavilion drew the biggest attendance per square foot. “An average of 30,000 visited the pavilion per day,” said Mr. Kao, who returned for a month’s stay and will be going back shortly to get things ready for the opening of the second season of the fair on April 22.
He attributed the commercial and popular success of the pavilion to the originality of the building design, which kept the flavour of Hong-kong;and to the selling of practical merchandise like clothing and furniture at competitive prices.
"I think our pavilion and the Taiwan one was the most photographed because they are different from the international exhibits.
"The pavilion gives quite an actual picture of Hongkong from the outside and the inside. There's a shopping paradise arcade, three Chinese arcade, three Chinese restaurants, and oriental garden, and junks at the entrance.
"Next season, we' re going to expand the garden and try to have a public information booth. We did, however, answer all enquiries in the office.
"We asked the Hongkong Government to put in an information booth last year, but they declined because of the lack of personnel," Mr. Kao said.
